Become a Clements Library Associate

By becoming a member of the Clements Library Associates you can help the Clements Library fine tune and expand its outstanding collection.

Membership dues to the Associates are used by the organization to acquire collections for the Library. Since its founding in 1947, the Clements Library Associates has purchased an estimated $5,000,000 worth of historical material that today has a monetary value many times that amount and is of incalculable worth to historians.

Please consider showing your support and become a member of the Clements Library Associates. As benefits of membership, Associates enjoy:

  • Invitations to programs, lectures, exhibits, and seminars
  • Library publications free of charge or with substantial discounts
  • The Quarto, a magazine published each Spring and Fall, keeps members informed about the acquisitions which have been made through their generous giving, and offers informative articles drawn from the Library's rich collections.
  • Annual field trips to historic sites
  • New member reception

Sustainer Program

Enrolling in our Sustainer Program is a way to support the Associates through a monthly contribution that is automatically charged to your credit card or deducted from your checking account. It allows the ability to increase your yearly gift, over time. It's safe, secure and flexible. You choose the ammount you wish to give each month, and you can change or cancel at any time.

Please contact Anne Bennington-Helber if you are interested in the program.

Also, you can purchase a membership as a gift to celebrate a special occasion such as a graduation, birthday or anniversary.

Please consider joining the Associates (pdf) or renewing your membership (pdf). You can also give an Associates membership as a gift (pdf).
