THE LONGONE CULINARY ARCHIVE: A Dedication Selection.

This exhibition was part of The First Biennial Symposium on American Culinary History: Dedication of the Janice Bluestein Longone Culinary Archive and Inauguration of the Longone Center for American Culinary Research, held at the Clements Library, May 13-15, 2005. In addition to the participation of the Clements Director (John Dann) and Curators for each division (Books-Don Wilcox, Manuscripts-Barbara DeWolfe, Maps-Brian Dunnigan, and Graphics-Clayton Lewis), invited speakers included Anne Willan and Mark Cherniavsky, Ari Weinzweig, Dan Longone, Darra Goldstein, and Andy Smith. An American Culinary Musicale featured John Morris and William Bolcom and also the Michigan State University Children’s Choir. University of Michigan President Mary Sue Colman inaugurated the Symposium and welcomed the participants.
