2021 Michigan Underground Railroad Heritage Gathering

Organized by the Michigan Freedom Trail Commission and in partnership with the University of Michigan Department of History, the Heritage Gathering is an annual conference for individuals, organizations and communities interested in our state’s Underground Railroad heritage. Participants enjoy opportunities for learning, networking and collaborating through the conference’s keynote speakers, workshops and presentations. A series of virtual presentations takes place on Thursday evenings in September, learn more and register.

The annual day-long conference program will take place from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Saturday, October 2 at the University of Michigan – Ann Arbor.

Like previous years, the day is aimed at networking, information sharing, and developing our next steps. Join us and become part of the conversation!
