This slender chapbook, measuring only 3.5” x 2” in size, describes fourteen different fish, each accompanied by a tiny wood engraved illustration. Publisher Mahlon Day, best known for his early nineteenth century children’s books, operated the New Juvenile Bookstore in New York.
