Become a registered reader to place requests for materials in advance of your research visit. Then use the finding aids and library catalog to request materials.

  • Finding Aids: Search finding aids for collection descriptions and contents lists of manuscripts and graphics collections.
  • Library Catalog: Use the online catalog for books, maps, prints, photographs, and more.

Digitized Collections

  • Clements Library Image Bank: This collection includes a selection of maps, prints, photographs, and manuscript drawings digitized from our collections.
  • Archival Collections: Some archival collections have been digitized in their entirety. See the list of collections for details.
  • Books in HathiTrust: HathiTrust, a digital library created by a partnership of academic and research institutions, includes a selection of books digitized from the Clements Library collections.
