Background
I graduated from the University of Michigan with a B.A. in history, and a B.F.A. in drawing and painting. I have been the Conservator at the Clements Library for over thirty-five years.
Responsibilities
As the Conservator at the Clements Library, I repair and maintain the book and paper collections as well as install all the Library’s exhibits. This involves a variety of tasks, including: paper mending; construction of custom enclosures; repair and rebinding of books; installation of exhibits; monitoring shelf storage, and environmental situations; teaching conservation skills to students, and outreach presentations to the community and local schools.
