This group of metal printing plates for a piece of late-19th-century sheet music is an important addition to our collections related to brass band history as well as to printing history. Original printing plates of sheet music from this period are very rare and are excellent examples to use for teaching when we explain the technological processes that went into producing things like illustrated sheet music.
