Walk-In Exhibit Browsing

The Clements Library welcomes you to join us to learn more about the Clements’ early American history collections and browse our student-curated exhibit “Navigating Disability in 19th-Century America” — which closes September 23!

Open Hours are offered Wednesday and Friday from 12:00 – 4:30 pm

Behind the Scenes Tours – Held on select afternoons

Starting in the Clements Library’s behind-the-scenes meeting space, we begin with a brief slide presentation and viewing of collections materials. We will conclude upstairs in the Avenir Foundation Reading Room to view the artwork, printing press, and realia on display. Tours are approximately 60 minutes in length. Please allow ample time for parking and plan to arrive to check in about 10 minutes before your tour time.

Please Note: The University of Michigan encourages visitors to wear masks when inside facilities.

Group Tours

Have more than 10 guests? Schedule a private guided tour for your group of 30 or fewer. Visits are scheduled on Fridays when the Library is open to the public, unless special arrangements are made. To schedule, please submit an inquiry.
